There are many magazines at in-world.  Most of them are full of information about fashion, SIM, or other matters.
Fortunately we can read such magazines free.
There might be many persons who are looking forward to reading new release of one’s favorite magazine every month.

Now another new magazine was born.  In the magazine on page 15 to 21, there are articles introducing tempura and interview with kikunosuke.

You really must read that.  I am glad that it would be a guidepost to enjoy tempura further.



インワールドにはたくさんの雑誌が存在します．ほとんどがフアッションやシムやその他の情報が満載です

幸いにして、私たちはそれらの雑誌をフリーで読むことができます。

毎月、自分の好きな雑誌の発売を、楽しみにしている人も多いことでしょう。

またひとつ新しい雑誌が誕生しました。その雑誌の中の15ページから21ページにかけてtempuraの紹介とkikunosukeへのインタビュー記事が掲載されています。

Lumiere de l’Art Magazine premier edition will launched on December 11th, 2011.  The magazine features the artistic side of SecondLife’s virtual artists and the art they create in various forms.  The premier issue covers the Majestic Sim of TEMPURA.  The artistry of TEMPURA is a credit to its creator, Kikunosuke Eel and his team of artisans.  Kikunosuke is also a talented jewelry designer following the spirit of the Mandala.

SECONDNIGHTERS MAGAZINE#10

Hi, this is chikae ella, tempura SIM officer.

Tempura has been introduced in many magazines and televisions. Tempura came up not only in SL, but also in RL.
This time the magazine that introduced tempura is the SECONDNIGHTERS MAGAZINE#10

Fantastic pictures of tempura are featured from page 28. There are twenty pages for the pictures. They are really beautiful, breathtaking pictures, with full of mystery, drama, and vigor that rushes to the significance of existence and quintessence of tempura. We can feel the terrific qualities of soul of the cameraman. Wonderful! Everybody, please watch them through.

今回紹介された雑誌はSECONDNIGHTERS MAGAZINE#10です。

tempuraの幻想的な写真が28ページから掲載されています。写真は全部で20ページあります。
それはもうため息の出るほど美しく、神秘とドラマに満ち満ちた写真で、tempuraの存在する意義と本髄に迫る迫力もあります。このカメラマンの持つ魂のすごさが伝わってきます。すばらしいです。皆様とくとご堪能あれ。

Donations for Japan Earthquake Victims

Hi, this is chikae,ella tempura SIM officer.

As you may know, Japan had heavily losses in the most disastrous natural calamity that struck Japan on March 11. By the giant earthquake and huge tsunami, the number of missing and dead reached more than twenty and several thousands, that was only counted as valid, and it is said that this number may increase considerably. As Japanese, I feel heartbreaking grief and I have been moved by the predicament of the surviving sufferers physically and mentally.

Kikunosuke the owner of tempura is also Japanese. So we set boxes to collect contributions to the suffered countrymen, at the entrance of tempura and middle of the bridge.

The breakdown of the corrected money as of July 31 is shown below.




Total amount of two boxes set at the entrance and the middle of the bridge:

Exchange rate: US$ 1.00 = L$ 248
L$ 147,358 --US$ 572.64

Exchange rate as of 2011-8-11: 1 US$ = 76.58 Yen
US$ 592 --43,803 Japanese Yen

The Japanese Yen of 45.803 is rounded to 50,000 Yen with kikunosuke’s own money added, and was sent to Japanese Red Cross Society.

皆様もすでにご存知のとおり、３月１１日に日本は未曾有の自然災害に見舞われました。大地震と巨大な津波によって,死者行方不明者は判っているだけでおよそ２万数千人、、さらに大幅に増える可能性があるということです。同じ日本人として痛恨の極みであり、被災して生き残った人たちの心身の痛みはいかばかりかと毎日憂いています。

tempuraオーナーkikunosukeも同じ日本人です。被災した同朋のために、tempuraの入り口と橋の真ん中に寄付金を集めるためのボックスを設置させていただきました。

７月３１日までに集まったお金の明細は次のとおりです。

about Wedding Ceremony at Tempura Isle

Please refer to the following rules if you wish to have your wedding
ceremony on the island of Tempura.

1.Please drop a "note card" on kikunosuke Eel in advance with the date
of your ceremony and approx number of attendees.Remember "not to use
IM" as it may get capped at times.

2.It is unable for us to provide any support for/during the wedding
ceremony.You are allowed to have your wedding at any place, any time,
and any style you like in Tempura.

3.We are unable to rent the whole island exclusively for your wedding,
nor limit access of other residents during the ceremony.We, however,
may be able to provide the security support, if any of our security
staff members are available at that time.

4.There is no cost to hold a wedding at Tempura, but any contributions
would be greatly appreciated as all the money will be sent to UNICEF
(The United Nations Children's Fund).
There are two tip-jars fixed on the island, FYI.

5.As the more people the more lag, you may prefer to have it when there is less access of other residents, (recommended time range:11am to 8:00pm SLT would be fine )

1－－事前にオーナーにノートカードで結婚式の日時とおよその参加人数を連絡してください。ＩＭは届かないときがあります。

2－－てんぷらスタッフによる、結婚式のお手伝いは一切出来ません。シム内において結婚式の場所と時間は自由ですが、サポートは提供できないので、自分たちで好きなように演出して行ってください。

3－－結婚式のために、特別にシムを貸切にしたり、一般のお客様を減らすことはしません。式は一般ユーザーの存在する中で行ってください。〔セキュリテイがシムにいるときは、警備のサポートにかぎっては提供されます。）

4－－てんぷらで結婚式をする場合、お金は一切いただいていません。もしお心持ちがありましたらシム内に2箇所設置されているチップジャーへ入れてください。チップジャーのお金はユニセフへ寄付されます。

5－－できる限り、一般のお客様の少ない時間に式を挙げることが望ましいと思います。お客様が多いとラグも多くなります。〔お客の少ない時間帯，，ＳＬ時間ＰＭ11時～20時ぐらい）

Japan-Tempura-Island, the island of healing, has celebrated its first anniversary on May 25th.

(SS-1 Interview)
I gave an interview in-world with Mr. Kikunosuke Eel, the owner of this SIM, also known as a fabulous photographer in SL.

All the photographs we show you, are taken by Kikunosuke.
I'm sure you'll enjoy them all !

It all started from Kikunosuke's losing love and his broken heart. Getting encouragement from his fellows, he devoted himself to establish the SIM in order to be relieved from the pain he got.

“Felt acutely that a place for love and heal is especially essential in the virtual world. Will build up a thoroughly beautiful and stylish SIM to meet that requirements.”
So he made up his mind to create this SIM.

It had been originally scheduled to be opened in March, but it was put off for two months till May, as Kikunosuke himself made the final adjustment to the nail.

Surprisingly enough, the traffic on the opening day exceeded 8000, even though there had been no promotion.

The SIM layout took a hint from Mandara that visualizes the enlightened world of Buddhism.
In addition, a castle and corridors that have essences of Renaissance.
Splendorous and fantastic design was achieved by amalgamating the East and the West, that is well accepted by people from any country around the world.

It is said that the furniture layout and color of the private rooms allocated in the SIM were decided according to psychology, and sophisticated beauty and comfort were accomplished.

Kikunosuke, as a photographer, had a great impact on promotion effects of the brand through the pictures he provided for magazines like the Déjà-Vu International.

Such an extraordinary sensitivity may be utilized in every corner of this SIM. He now refrains from his photographing work in order to maintain valuable time with his family in his real life.

Tempura Island, a volunteer SIM that provides pure healing place, with no camping or shopping area.
That may be the reason why there is a constant flow of traffic from more than fifty countries all over the world even now.

There was a great news at the end of last week.

The movie-shooting was held by Linden Lab in the ball room, and the video will be posted on their official web-site! It seems to be a video that seeks and introduces what is possible in the Second Life.

I cannot wait to watch that video!

By the way, do you have any idea how he named this sim as "Tempura"? Well, it came from a buzzword in Japan " AGE-AGE " which describes the feeling of cheerfulness.
"AGE" of "AGE-AGE" also means to deep-fry foods. And, a famous deep-fried food in Japan is.... Yes! Tempura.

It seems that such unique idea and a bit playful mind represent the personality of Kikunosuke, and make us feel somewhat warmly treated.

５月２５日に一周年のアニバーサリーを迎えた
癒しの島、ジャパン・テンプラ・アイランド

(SS-1　インタビュー)
今回は、このシムのオーナーでセカンドライフでも有名な写真家でいらっしゃる
Kikunosuke Eelさんにインワールドでお話を伺いました。

今日皆さまにご覧いただく写真はKikunosukeさんの撮影による物ですので、
どうぞご期待下さい。

シム構築のきっかけとなったのは、Kikunosukeさんの失恋だそうです。
仲間たちに励まされ、失恋の痛手を忘れるためにシムの構築に没頭されました。

「仮想世界の中にこそ、愛と癒しの場所が必要だと痛切に感じ、
それに見合う徹底的に美しくスタイリッシュなシムを作り上げよう。」
と このSIMの制作を決意されたそうです。

当初は3月にオープンの予定でしたが
Kikunosukeさん自らが　徹底的に最終仕上げを行ったために
2ヶ月遅れの5月にオープンとなりました。

プロモーションは一切しなかったにもかかわらず、
オープン当日のトラフイックが何と8,000を超えたと言うのは
おどろきですね。

仏教の悟りの世界を描いた曼荼羅からヒントを得たSIMのオブジェクト配置、
それに加え、ルネッサンスの要素も取り入れたお城に回廊も設置。
西洋と東洋が融合され、
世界中のどの国の人にも受け入れられる、華麗で幻想的なデザインを作り出しました。

シム内に配されるいくつかのプライベートルームは
心理学に基づいて色や、家具の配置が決められており、
品のいい美しさと居心地のよさにこだわったそうです。

写真家としてのKikunosukeさんは
デジャブインターナショナルなど
メジャー雑誌の撮影を通して
ブランドのプロモーション効果に大きく影響を与えられました。

そのような類まれなる感性がこのシムの隅々にまで生かされているのでしょう。
現在はリアルのご家族との時間を大切にするために、
カメラマンのお仕事は休止されています。

ショップやキャンプもなく、純粋に癒しの場を提供するボランティアＳＩＭであるTempuraアイランド。
だからこそ、今も尚、５０カ国を超える国々からここを訪れる人たちの
足が途絶えないのでしょう。

先週末、とてもビッグなニュースが入りました。

何とリンデンラボによる撮影が行われ、
テンプラのボールルームの動画がセカンドライフのサイトに
アップされることになったそうです。
セカンドライフ内では何が可能なのかを追求、紹介するビデオのようですよ。

今からとても楽しみですね！

ちなみにTempuraというネーミングは言葉の遊びから出来きたそうです。
ハイテンションな気分の時をアゲアゲといいますよね。
アゲ→揚げ物といえば天麩羅。といったカンジの連想から来ているそうですよ。

ユニークな発想と、ちょっとした遊び心が
Kikunosukeさんの人柄を表わしているようで、なんだか温かい気持ちになりますね。
